So tomorrow is the BIG day! :-). Tomorrow is the day you kick start all of the great work you are going to put in to look your best in the next 30 days! The challenge is right around the corner, and together we can keep each other motivated, wade through it, and become examples to many more to come after our challenge is over. We will see for ourselves and show others for a fantastic moment it can be to get fit, healthy, have glowing skin and great hair, all of which although external play a great role in boosting your confidence and feeling at peace from inside.
Tomorrow, we are going to kick start our diet with 2 types of juices I have created:1) The Coolest Cooler and the 2) Green Goddess.
Things to remember:
- You can alternate between the 2 drinks throughout the day.
- I like to have the Coolest Cooler as the first one in my day because the sugars from the fruits give me a good refreshing jumpstart to the day.
- You do not need to do any excercise during this diet because you will be a little tired in general for the first few days because there is no solid food. I want to indulge in walking a mile a day so I am going to try to do that. If it is too rainy outside or the weather isn't good, you can put on any good light aerobics video from YouTube and do that for 20 to 30 minutes or go to the Gym and workout for an hour. But the first time I did it, I did not excercise at all because the body needs the rest to keep its energy.
- Get plenty of much needed sleep. At least 8 hours a day make sure your body is getting the necessary sleep to perform at its optimum.
- Try to be happy. Forget everything and everyone that takes away your happiness. Whether it is crazy coworkers, annoying neighbors, having a lot on your plate to do, or cranky kids - take this diet as an opportunity to find balance in your life. Detach yourself from the people that stress you out, at least the people that you can detach from. For example, I have a few colleagues at work that drive me crazy or get on my nerves, but I am going to simply focus on my work and doing the best at it and just going to keep myself away from all the madness they bring.
- Remember, this is for YOU. Be selfish about it. Say No to the parties, cakes, chocolates, pastas, biryanis, and all the other things that people may offer you. If you go out, go shopping, movies or places like that where eating is not an important part of the affair.
- Comment on this Blog if you need more motivation and I will get notified on my phone and can jump right in and message you back and forth. We are in this together :-).
- Read about juicing online, increase your knowledge of this, provide tips if you see something nice that others can benefit from, and read and watch anything and everything that motivates you.
- Watch the Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead videos Part 1 and 2 on Netflix by Joe Cross. They are about Juicing and will motivate you immensely!
So here we go with the recipes for tomorrow!
1) Coolest Cooler
Ingredients:
1 Watermelon
1 Cantaloupe
4 medium sized cucumbers
one tiny piece of Ginger
Recipe!
Juice it Up and Refrigerate it. Make 3 jars for Monday. If you have any leftover, pack it up for the next day.
2) Green Goddess
Ingredients:
1 bunch of Spinach or Kale
half a bunch of Cilantro
1 small piece of Ginger
3 Apples (the sweeter the better)
Half a Watermelon
2 Peaches or 1 big sweet Mango
You can add some Cantaloupe as well if you like.
Recipe!
Juice them all up and save in 3 separate jars. This one is maddeningly delicious. You are going to LOVE this! Remember to refrigerate both the drinks overnight. It is tastier when its cold.
